De Leeuw van Zeeland is a four-part documentary series in which we follow the life of Léon Overdulve. Léon was born in Terneuzen fifty years ago. He started out in the maritime world at the age of 17 as a seaman on international voyages, oil rigs and dredgers. He worked his way up from the shop floor to become CEO and owner of the company OOS International. OOS stands for Overdulve Offshore Services. Just six years ago, he was the sole employee at OOS International. A major contract in 2014 sparked rapid growth. The company now employs staff from 27 different nationalities. Through a good dose of nerve, a bit of a gamble and, above all, a healthy dose of Zeeland common sense, Léon has founded a thriving ‘Offshore Services’ company and built it into an international player.
